God Sings Over Us!

I often wonder about things we sometimes take for granted. Think about our natural ability to respond to and play music. That is a gift that animals lack although one could contemplate the complex chorus of the Northern Mockingbird. Still our enjoyment and ability to create music as well as instruments is something quite different than what we see in the animal kingdom. If we were to apply Darwin's theories, there is no explanation for human singing. It doesn't help us to survive or procure food. It surely won't help us avoid being attacked.
So what is the biological purpose behind singing and or playing a musical instrument. Could it be that a loving Creator enjoys music and gave it as a gift to people for His glory?
Zephaniah 3:17 says, "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
It is pretty obvious that the Author of all music Himself sings with rejoicing and delight over those who honor Him. And who honored Yahweh more than Yeshua?
Yeshua, (Jesus), quotes a Psalm as his own in Hebrews 2:12, "saying, 'I will declare Thy name to my brethren, in the midst of an assembly I will sing praise to Thee;' and again, 'I will be trusting on Him;'"
How wonderful is that? Yeshua leads us in praise of his Father whom he declared to be the ONLY True God, (John 17:3). Almighty God reciprocates by taking delight and singing over us with rejoicing. Think on how we might please Yah today by praising Him with loving ways and obedient hearts.
